The Credit System

ACTS follows the Credit system for its programs. For residential programs, each credit amounts to 16 class hours consisting of 50 minutes and 32 hours of research. Thus, a four-credit course involves 64 hours of class room study and 128 hours of research. In distance education each credit amounts to 30 hours of study including all learning activities. Thus, a three-credit course involves 90 hours of study. This helps the student to understand the academic efforts one has to put in, in order to successfully complete a course.Back to top
